What is the best way to get from the UK to Oz if you struggle with jet lag (in July?)

We are hoping to spend two weeks in WA visiting an old friend next July. We can take up to three weeks in total, to give options for stop offs either side.

DS12 has ADHD and struggles to reset after jet lag. We’ve done West Coast US a few times but have never made it to Asia or Oz and I’m a bit worried he will struggle. We can afford premium economy but nothing more luxurious, so there’ll be limited plane sleep.

Any tips for managing the journey for the jet lag prone! Especially good stop offs (with bearable weather in July) and good timings and routes.

Premium economy defiantly has more room. And is more comfortable.
Id suggest a sleeping aid. Melatonin for example.

Thank you. Trips to the US means we have many pots of Melatonin. We always forget it and buy a pot of 300 from CVS!
