West Oxfordshire Mners - Hanborough Station

Hi I was wondering if anyone lives near this station, and how quickly the parking spaces get used up on a weekday. Staying in Woodstock for DH's birthday and wanting to do a London daytrip, but I just need to work out what time we'd need to get a train to ensure a parking space!

Could you use Oxford Parkway instead? There's a regular bus to Woodstock and billions of parking spaces. Probably about a mile further away.

Also, the train is much better from Oxford Parkway to Marylebone, under an hour.

Thanks @ProfessorPeppy I forgot there was the Chiltern option - I thought I'd have to change twice as I'm very GWR focused - I live further up the Cotswold line so familiar with the trains through there.

it’s worth booking a seat though, all the trains from Oxford and the Cotswolds get very full.

I would definitely go for that option then, especially as you're familiar with it. We live in a nearby village and use Oxford Parkway instead of Hanborough.

Can't believe how much cheaper it is from Oxford parkway compared to an hour up the line! Especially with a 2 together railcard. Thank you so much - I knew I was missing an obvious choice :)
