I’ve been off sick from work for four months with mental health issues.
My manager referred to occupational health at the three months mark, standard procedure in my company.
I’m feeling much better and could probably go back to work, this would be on a phased return.
I received an appointment invite this morning. The appointment isn’t for another fortnight. I don’t know how quickly any follow up with work would take, so no guarantee that I would be back at work before end of August.
I’m hesitant about going back without seeing occupational health as work is crazily busy, worse than when I went off. Feel that I need a documented return to work plan so that if I struggle it can be reviewed properly with both occupational health and managers at work.
I don’t know what to do, feel like I’m floating along when I could be getting back to a proper routine. Should add that I always hate being off from work when I’m physically unwell so this is normal for me!
I’m in full pay so finances aren’t a concern.
