I would like a day in Cambridge just wander and explore at my own pace.

I've shuffled some work things around and I'm going to have my day out on Wednesday! 😊

Have breakfast in bed and listen to Audible. Work on something I’m writing. Walk my dog, maybe to a coffee shop. Take my laptop and write a bit more.

No children in the house to bother me, I want everyone to just go away and leave me alone! No being looked after downstairs by someone else, no yelling Mum! and being told to leave Mum alone. No getting them ready so someone else can take them out. Nope. I just want them to be completely gone without me lifting a finger. Out of sight, out of earshot, with no risk of returning from 9am to 5pm.

I'd like to not go to a friend big birthday bash tonight!
My kids are grown (one still at home) so no responsibilities there but I couldn't sleep last night til 5.30am so I'd like to snuggle back down in my bed and just chill for the rest of the morning, make some soup for lunch and watch the Olympics all afternoon.
One thing about staying awake all night is you can have an epiphany- I've decided to sell a flat early next year that I invested in five years ago and use the money to pay off a mortgage and do up my son's kitchen! I did all the calculations in my head...

Lovely 10 mile hike across some interesting country side, camouflaged as dog walk... and reading!

Oh yeah, I am actually going to do it in a little while, once DC are fed and washed on the line...

• washing on the line... But I think DC could do with being pinned to one spot as well! 🤣

Hubby and I are at work again today - we work Monday - Saturday and regular Sundays too so I'd love to just close up for the day and go to a local cafe for a Full English and a little trot around the park!
