Shopping lists by MIL??

While her grandkids were at my MILs home, she had sent 3 different shopping lists of more than 20 items to shop for her within last week and a half. They’re her grandkids which out of 52 weeks of the year she only spends maybe 2 weeks with so why do I have to do her shopping?

Because she is busy with the children? Because it is things she needs for the children? How would we know?

two weeks is a very long time for her to be minding her grandchildren? Are they your children she is looking after?

You mean these are your children and she wants some things for them whilst they are with her?

I assume they’re your kids she’s looking after? Are they staying with her or is she providing childcare while you and her son work?

Either way sounds like she’s doing you a massive favour, but I’d question why she’s asking you and not DH to pick up shopping, can’t he do it?

Surely we can't answer that?! If they are your kids and childminding is free then you'll have to suck it up. If you are another family member, then I think she is taking the piss a bit and calling in a favour. Groceries or items she needs should be bought in advance or organised with the parent.

Is she looking after your children and requesting you go to the shop for things while you are working/after work? I guess it's harder for her to get to the shop with kids but she could get it delivered.

Can you not forward them to your husband as it's his mum?
