Bamboo tshirt, grease spots, what to do

Cooking oil splattered on bamboo tshirt. Can't get to washing machine for next 8 hours. Is that too long to save the tshirt? Anything I should do meantime? Any options would need to be colour safe.

Would washing up liquid work on bamboo fibres? That’s the only thing that’s worked for me with oil when I’ve done something similar.

Worth a shot I guess? I don't really understand bamboo material tbh, I suspect there's a strong element of greenwashing! Back to the point however, I could try it and if it works I shall report back.

Yep washing up liquid neat, rubbed on the stain (both sides) then rinsed, then into washing machine later.

bamboo is a brilliant fibre and far more sustainable than cotton, but you can treat it just the same

Elbow grease spray is amazing on stains ( grease/blood/ mystery stains!)

Old school laundry soap is great if you can find it too

Be aware old school laundry soap can block modern washing machines really easily

Apologies for forgetting to update. I put neat washing up liquid on each spot then left it overnight (machine is too noisy and I read it's unsafe to run overnight). Actually I left it most of the day too as I had had some very intense shifts and slept extra long. When my top did finally get washed it came out perfectly, not a spot of grease to be seen!
