Worried about DS and riots

Ds is a policeman. And he's having to work 12 hour shifts due to all the recent upset. I really worry about him. I know its what comes with the job. And he's an adult. But he's my son and I worry so much

I hear you loud and clear. My DD is in the same situation. Sending virtual hugs x

It doesn’t matter what age they are, how independent, how competent, how able to take care of themselves they are, if you’re a parent, worrying is in the job description. The difference is, when they’re grown, you can’t protect them and being in a job like the police at the moment increases the feeling.

That's true . I think we worry even when thru are middle ages and we are old. I'm sure he will be fine in reality

I said to my husband the other day that I bet all holiday is being cancelled for the police. I absolutely feel that the police have the hardest job of all the emergency services. I think my son would love working for the police but I’d be very worried for him. I hope everyone stays safe.

I'm in the same boat, hoping the fact it's gone quiet the last day or so is a good sign. The one thing my son said which helped me a bit is, that they all have each others backs at all times.
