I am! But I'm not sharing my pictures on social media.
Also I dont think it matters how many you do they just choose someone at random it's not based on who has the most.
Also does it reset after each winner? I only started playing yesterday

It’s a game on the octopus app were you tap octopuses that appear on your screen. Each tap is one entry into the draw to win one of three cars worth 30k each.

the first winner has already been drawn last week, second one is today and the third next week.

some octopuses are worth more entries than others when you tap them.

the screen refreshes every 10 mins were new octopuses appear. Each 10 min session, approx 8 octopuses will appear.

It hasn’t reset my entries after last weeks winner

There are a number of things you need to have to play. 1 is a smart meter, 2 is the app with octoplus rewards activated and the third one is live in England, Scotland or Wales.

Just had a look. I think you'd have to spend hours on it.

i do it whenever I remember to do it or when the kettle is boiling etc etc

To have that many you must be more than that!

Typical drop is 6 snaps every 10 mins. Making only 144 collections possible each day.
Base max snaps per day before epics and sets is then about 6x144=850, if you played 24 hrs a day
Plus 6x80= 480 for sets and 6x8= 48 for epics
Max day one is 1378.
After all epics and sets are collected, max per day is about 860.
Assuming you and your family sleep in shifts with a 10 min timer going off continuously for the one on duty the max entries over 3 weeks, 21 days is something like 18,700. 6,500 of which would be in the first 7 days
There comes a point of diminishing returns for your efforts. After the sets are complete you have to work far harder to increase your chances.
Once you have 6500 snaps, the most you can do is treble your chances of winning. But with an unknown total number of snaps in the pot you may be trebling a very small % chance.
Octopus has 3.2m smart meter customers and there have been over 1m downloads of the Octopus app in Playstore alone. 700k customers took part last winter in Octoplus to reduced their electricity usage in over a dozen sessions showing active app engagement even for small gains.
Let's say 100-200k will play this game.
I guess most just idly, maybe collecting 200 odd snaps over the first 7 days then getting bored.
So the pot may be something like 20-40m snaps for draw 1.
With the max individual snaps for draw 1 after 7 days being (144x7x6)+528 = 6500ish, the max chance of winning a car in draw may be something like 1 in 3,000. With 1000 snaps the chance would be about 1 in 20,000
If the number of people playing and the total number of snaps in the pot increases week 2 and 3, the odds could get far worse as time goes on.
I stopped at 1,300 leave it in the lap of the gods 😄. I have a life to live after all!

I am but on my husband's phone so it depends when he's in. Not putting any snaps on social media tho, just doing the entries.
Not managed any sets yet and no Octoplus things - has anyone managed any of those? I see they mean extra little prizes, mostly like things from Greggs.
Getting a bit fed up of getting the common ones over and over again - the cake, the umbrella and the console!

I'm afraid those calculations you found are wrong Caterpiller, 6 snaps every 10 mins is 60 snaps an hour so maximum 1440 in 24 hours! Can't believe anyone is getting anywhere near the minimum though!

I like it, not often you can enter a competition for free so easily that has such a big prize.
