I am a big fan of chilly bottles and I have wanted to buy the one with a straw for ages.

However the reviews on them are really mixed - with people saying the straw/flip device breaks off and they leak. Is this true? If so, any other similar recommendations?

Interested too, I have 2 chilli bottles and I think you can buy the straw part on its own which I might do as it can use it on both bottles but if it’s flimsy I might not bother.

ahh you are right, you can @Lemonade2011 ! Although my bottle is an original one and you can only buy the straw part for the series 2, so I would probably just buy a series 2 flip one.

I have one and like it, it's great if you're driving or have it on a desk. I'd put it in a water bottle holder in the side of a bag, but don't think I'd fully trust it rattling around inside, I think it might leak a bit then.

Also, it's silicone and doesn't have a cover/cap so can get a bit dusty.

A few in my family have them and we've never had a straw break. I'd definitely get one with both lid options though.

I don't particularly like the design of the Flip with the big word up the side. The second generation bottle design is really good though, much more stable especially with the rubber bottom and the carry loop is handy.

I looked at the Chilly bottles but like you, thought the reviews were mixed. I got a Hydro Flask instead and it’s really good. I put ice cubes in with water and they stay frozen for hours.
