i keep getting clair de lune adverts in my facebook, the noses baskets do look lovely. I appreciate i might not use it that much down stairs but I need one 😂 Any good/bad ones to buy?

I got a Claire de lune one with rocking stand from Facebook marketplace for free, steamed it and bought a new mattress it was like brand new. I wouldn't spend a fortune because you don't know what baby is actually going to like and they are in it for literally weeks. We originally had the next2me crib for upstairs but dd hated it and didn't sleep, settled as soon as we put her into the Moses but our second didn't like it and preferred the next2me.

Thanks, they do look lovely. Wasn’t sure if they were worth it over a cheap one. It appreciate they won’t be in them long or at all!

The woven style ones are basically all the same. Clair de lune is popular, others are fine too. Id suggest a side-to-side rocker rather than front-to-back.

Baby will outgrown it more quickly than you think (although they are useful 😊)

i got a cheaper one, and I am very glad I did as my son only fitted in it for a month. He was huge 🤣 he only slept in it at night, during the day we either did contact naps or he’d be in the pram bassinet. It would’ve been an utter waste of money to go for a dear one, altho if that is what you really want and you can comfortably afford it, why not I guess!

OlympicBlue · 10/08/2024 16:29

Which ones did you get @Happycow and @Muffin101? I’m assuming as well we’ll be mainly one intact naps during the day unless needing to go to the toilet or make a drink, but then it might be wraps!

In our house it was a complete waste of money - dd wasn’t having any of it and only lay in it once before she grew out of it. The cat quite liked it though. Go second hand.

i bet your cat thought it was fantastic though @TheMousePipes and username seems relevant!
