50th birthday present for a well off male?

I need to get a 50th birthday present for a very high earning male. The reason I mention that is because they don't want for anything and have no problem buying whatever they need. I don't want to get anything twee. If I can't think of anything then I'll try and get an exceptional or special bottle of booze of some sort. Budget £50 - £70. Any suggestions?

Either a bottle of small-batch gin or a selection of amazing cheese

This. Especially if he likes cheese. No waste and is thoughtful

My husband is in this category. He would like-

  • booze (or other consumables)
  • an interesting book (non-fiction)
  • something fun like a new board game or silly things like PP’s bubble suggestion
  • excellent quality socks or similar
  • a plant

He would not like-
— engraved or designer version of a normal thing
-random stuff that happens to have his birthday on it’ll
-an experience (unless incredibly well-chosen by someone who knows him well). Definitely nothing like driving etc or other middle aged man-targeted thing.
-cheap version of an expensive item eg cashmere scarf.

Grin I’m neither male nor unfathomably rich but if I were I’d probably order a couple of dozen made to measure shirts from my tailor every season. I’d be … perplexed to receive a £50 voucher for some random High Street men’s outfitters as a gift.Shock
