The sole on these sandals needs sticking back down. What glue is best? I’ll be wearing in the evenings in Egypt so very hot, sweaty and dusty!!

Any cobblers near you? A Timpsons? That would be my first port of call for a professional job.

There is a timpsons nearby but flying on Sunday so with work etc, wasn’t sure I’d get them there in time. I guess I could try glue and if it all falls apart revert to flip flops

Shoegoo. It's flexible so suitable for shoes and the movement.

Fluffyflipflop · 06/08/2024 17:22

Thank you so much! I’ve ordered that to be delivered tomorrow!!

Timpson's will charge you probably what the shoes cost!
Shoe goo is great if it's a sole
Yours is on the top layer, for that would try PVA /wood glue brush finely and make sure you smooth it as much as possible if its going go irritate your foot

AltitudeCheck · 06/08/2024 17:39

Looks to me like the inner has come away rather than the sole?

ShoeGoo is excellent for repairing soles but might be too much for just a thin layer of lining material. Use v sparingly and not too close to the edge to avoid it oozing through/ out.

Ok thank you. I did consider ripping the whole sole off, buying new ones and gluing it on myself
