Where will you be getting your kids school shoes from...

... if you aren't planning on selling a kidney?

Have always gone Clinksrds or Clarks but DS is now an adult size 7 and DD a 2. Looking online suggests I won't get change from £120 😱

Is it really worth going for Clarks/Clinkards? Any cheaper recommendations?

I won't be doing Clarks this year because my DS9 always complains that the leather is too tight and it takes him about 2 months to break them in! I think I am going to get Skechers black trainers for him and DS6. I realise that might not be allowed for secondary school.

I got my daughter measured in Clarks but the saleswoman admitted the shoes they had didn’t fit her feet. Im not spending £50+ on shoes that don’t actually fit well. Went to m and s and the shoes there were leather and looked (to my admittedly untrained eye!) like they fitted much better so got some there for £30 instead. I’ve always used Clark’s in the past and tbf they’ve lasted until outgrown but when the saleswoman herself admits they don’t fit…

We got my daughter's first pair of school shoes from Clarks, they don't last the school year so haven't gone back.
We've had school shoes from Next, Sainsbury's and M&S since and they've all been good quality and lasted well!
