I'm wearing a 20 year old skirt, I love it but it's a bugger to iron so I don't wear it much. I'm just pleased it still fits!

Oh dear feel a total slob now with my 24 year old dressing gown!!! Bought it from M and S when I was pregnant and other than a hole in one pocket it is still going strong!!

Honestly, i think my M&S dressing gown would have lived for ever, and replacing it just because of some loose stitching is probably my biggest life mistake ever.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 06/08/2024 11:52

The clothes I'm wearing today are no more than 2 years old.

The oldest item of clothing I own is probably a St Michael's skirt I inherited from late MIL. The fabric is so thick and wonderful.

HonestMistake · 06/08/2024 11:52

Randomly everything I've got on is less than 2 years old. Most unusual for me, I've got loads of stuff that's 10/20/30 years old.

Fabellini · 06/08/2024 11:58

A TopShop cardi that’s made out of a cotton jersey fabric so not much thicker than a tshirt really - I’ve got a photo of my sister and I standing outside our first flat the year after I got married..so it’s 33 years old. TopShop jeans that are about 8 or 9 years old - I’ve got a few pairs of the same style in various colours, don’t know what I’ll do when they all eventually fall to pieces!
Pair of Dr Marten Mary Jane shoes that are now 19 years old. Wore them daily for a couple of years when I first got them, and then didn’t any more - I can’t remember why - but they were resurrected from the back of the wardrobe a few months ago and are back to being worn a lot.
My “summer” clothes seem to be older and last better, but that might be because I live in the Highlands, so they definitely don’t get worn as much!

Snap, although mine is "only" 22 years old!!

Tisfortired · 06/08/2024 12:03

Unusually for me probably my shorts which are only a year old. I lost quite a bit of weight after having DS2 last year so had to buy some new summer bits.

RuthW · 06/08/2024 12:11

All new stuff today.

Knickers about a year
Bra about 6 months
Dress about 2 years
Shoes about two years

LadyPoison · 06/08/2024 12:17

5 year old Birkenstocks.

Everything else is actually fairly new. Jeans are 3 years old, my fleece is 6 months old (I had some made with my jewellery brand name on them in January) and the T shirt is 2 weeks old.

custardlover · 06/08/2024 12:18

Skirt was my mum's in the early 70s so over 50 years old. It's a cheesecloth batik wrap and I love it.

Dearg · 06/08/2024 12:18

Chambray shirt circa 1997, so about 27 years old.

MargaretThursday · 06/08/2024 12:20

I'm wearing one of the long jersey cotton Laura Ashley dresses from the 90s.

Moier · 06/08/2024 12:26

My Mums dressing gown.
Think it's about 60 years old.
It's like a smoking jacket.. silky with cord edging and cord tie( think like curtain ties).
Still washes lovely .

GapsGalore · 06/08/2024 12:27

A week! I was given some birthday money so have been replacing my worn out clothes. Yesterday I was wearing a 29 year old t-shirt though, still going strong and not nearly as threadbare as some T-shirts I bought about 5 years ago!

medianewbie · 06/08/2024 12:30

I have a T-shirt bought at Disneyland Florida in 1989. I used to wear it often but now yhe person who bought it for me has died I just treasure it instead.

Lovetotravel123 · 06/08/2024 12:30

T-shirt must be around 16 years old.

Beth216 · 06/08/2024 12:43

A zipped hoodie that I bought 20 years or more ago from sports direct or similar. It's fraying a little round the cuffs but I just wear it round the house. I tend to buy cheap clothes but I try to keep them for as long as I possibly can.

goingdownfighting · 06/08/2024 12:52

A gym too approx 20 years old from sainsbos

MaMisled · 06/08/2024 13:02

An 11 year old bra! M&S and obviously great quality!

OlympicsFanGirl · 06/08/2024 13:07

Bra - no idea how old but possibly at least a decade.

T-shirt and culottes are at least 5 yea old.

thursdaymurderclub · 06/08/2024 13:08

running shoes... about 5 years old.. they are hardly worn and cost a fortune so decided to just wear them as normal day to day trainers as im not going to be able to run again!

Ohdearyme72 · 06/08/2024 13:17

2013 Birkenstocks. Soles worn down to the corky bit. Naice!!!

ramsayboltonshounds · 06/08/2024 13:17

My jeans. They're a year old diesel pair. Converse maybe 3 months old, socks about the same, matching pants & bra about 6 months and a zutons T-shirt from February.

elliejjtiny · 06/08/2024 09:51

I'm wearing a maternity bra and my youngest is 10 so it's probably that. It's so comfy though.

I still wear my maternity bra but my pfb is 20 now

Arraminta · 06/08/2024 13:35

Today I'm wearing stuff that is less than a year old. But I have a beautiful jumper from Laura Ashley that must be 30 years old? I first bought it in roughly 1994, it was a lovely, soft candyfloss pink colour. It disappeared around the Millennium, sadly. I was thrilled when I spotted the identical jumper on Vinted recently and I snapped it up. Such amazing quality. They don't make clothes like they used to.

ChipshopPickledEgg · 06/08/2024 13:39

My leggings are four years old.
My galaxy watch is probably older I don't know though it was my husband's and I only use it for steps so I don't know anything much about it.
