Recommend private ADHD & ASD clinic? Desperate…

I was referred for assessment for ADHD and ASD but I seem to be going down the waiting list rather than up. I am increasingly desperate for some help and understanding what I can do to improve things and manage better.

I don’t want to ‘pay for disagnosis’ though. I want it to be really robust. If I’m doing this and going through the assessment, then I want to really believe in the outcomes.

Psychiatry UK has waiting list of 18 months although I am trying Right to Choose with my GP. At this point, I’m willing to pay almost anything to go through the assessment.

Can anyone recommend a private provider (London or online) that you felt was robust please?

A diagnosis will change nothing for you. There is no magic off the shelf solution to either condition (although meds will help a bit for adhd)
start reading and learning about the conditions and looking at what strategies people use to help themselves.
join support groups in your area, that’s where the best help comes from.

We are partway through assessments with the Oxford adhd centre (the do asd too) so far the experiance. As been comparable to my youngest who was diagnosed via NHS.

That said as a pp has said it won't magically unlock anything you in theory can't access anyway, although we did find having a diagnosis made some people/services take us more seriously

Psymplicity helped my DD.

They diagnosed and can also prescribe.

There are a LOT of forms to fill out in advance and some need to be done by parents
