Hey everyone wanted some tips on anyone that has gotten lip fillers I'm new to this and don't have much girlfriends that has gotten them done I'm going away on holiday a few days after my appointment which is scheduled for Thursday I'm very nervous lol

What should I avoid doing after getting them done and is it safe to get them done and travel I will be asking the clinic I'm going to before hand anyway but wanted to hear individual peoples opinions

Thank you x

I'm no expert but presumably you should be avoiding direct sunlight for a while after having it done? They need to heal and sun will damage that

@PeriIsKickingMyButt thank you for this tip I'll deffo ask the lady that's doing mine because what about women that get it done in hot countries

People who live in hot countries all the time wouldn’t flinch at having to spend a couple of days with a wide brimmed hat and avoiding the sun. If this is your one week to get in the pool/sea, get a tan etc, it’s going to feel like a waste of your holiday.

i believe your biggest issues are you are advised not to fly for a week after, also to wear a high SPF/avoid sunlight, and if you have a bad reaction, seek medical attention asap (tougher on holiday/wasting your precious family time sat in a foreign A&E) - all of which seems like you should push your appointment until after your holiday if you don’t have a clear week after appointment until flying.

@FancyBiscuitsLevel thank you I was thinking the same thing what if it goes bad or I have a reaction would waste a good holiday and I'm going to the Caribbean we planned this for a while not worth it over simple filers

I guess I have to just cancel or reschedule I did pay £30 deposit but I guess me losing £30 ain't nothing than me going through a horrible experience

I got mine 4 weeks before going
Do not use sun beds

I met someone the other week in Boots the chemist, looking for advise she's had ger lips "done" and had been on a sunbed and my gosh they liked awful, Boots weren't sure what to suggest as it was leaky and crusty (bleurgh poor woman) I told her she needed to go back to show the person had done it, but her "lip lady" (her words not mine )was away for two weeks!

I would be super careful If I were you
( It's not something I would consider, if it messes up it's your face!!!)
