How do I dispose of litter picking...

There's an area near my house that is just awful. Between a pedestrian tunnel and a station, it gets lots of kids passing through so lots of pop bottles, sweet wrappers etc as well as pizza boxes, beer bottles, plastic bags...

I'm thinking of getting a litter picker and going out to tidy up. However, it would result in quite a lot volume of rubbish, and we won't have room in our bin to store/ dispose of it.

What's the norm in this situation? Do I store it in the garage and take a car full to the tip every few weeks? Leave it by a public bin?

Anyone else done the same and if so what's your solution?

I've done it , phoned the council to collect it, they were very helpful.

Our council provide bags that are a distinct colour e.g bright blue with council writing on them for this purpose which you can them leave next to a public bin to be collected. You could check to see if your council do something similar?
