Sleep is not my friend tonight, anyone else wide awake?

I did manage a couple of hours but now awake again with a very unsettled little one, who's on hourly obs, the ward is as quiet as nights on a children's ward can be and I am dreading the idea that everyone will start waking up soon.

Feel for you. Hope little one gets better soon. I know myself how hard sleeping is when in hospital with little ones.

Awake here with our 7 month old who's recently reverted to waking every 2 hours at night. He's woken his 4 year old sister this time! Hoping she goes back to sleep now he's settled

Been up since 4.30 and debating whether to give up on sleep now.

I haven't slept at all yet. It's a perfect storm of a few things for me.

One of our dogs died on Saturday. He was 14 so a good age but it was fairly sudden and DH and I weren't at home so I still feel awful over that. DC (20 and 16) were with him and cuddling him but I feel bad we weren't here for them as well. One of our other dogs is missing him like crazy and has been whining and barking a bit tonight, they've been best friends for almost 12 years. Sad

DH isn't at home right now. He started a new job two weeks ago, he's had two weeks of training so today is his first solo shift and it's a night shift. He won't be home until after 7am. He's a bus driver, has been for years, but he's just moved companies and this is the first time he's had night shifts and they're longer distance too. I don't know if I'll sleep until I know he's home safe. I think once he's done the first lot of them this week I'll sleep better when he's not here at least.

And my 16yo gets Nat 5 results today. They're autistic and struggled with anxiety so badly attendance was down at 20-25% approximately so I don't know what the results will be like.

Been awake for hours with upper arm pain. Had it on and off for months but it's been dreadful for the last couple of days. My right arm/shoulder is worse than my left. Absolutely no idea what it is. Feel like it's not life-threatening enough to see a doctor but it's agony.
I'm pretty sure it's just muscular but god knows how it's come about.
The only thing that's changed in the last year is I've started working at a desk.
I played badminton at the weekend with DS which probably didn't help.
Off on holiday on Friday & I think DH will have to do the majority of the driving, which he'll be pissed off about.
