Has anyone had a whirlwind wedding?

I'm reading a book about a couple who get married after a few days of knowing each other (though they were teenage sweethearts 15 years before). I was wondering has anyone done anything similar? How did it turn out? Are you still together?

Yep. Moved to another state to live together after 6 weeks. 2 months later I was pregnant, few months later we eloped (knew each other 8 months by then). Had baby, moved to another state again... just had our 18th wedding anniversary.

It wasn't all sunshine & unicorns & we've had our difficulties & differences, but I think we've grown, together.

Would I do it again or recommend....probably not...

Not married but got pregnant after 4 months of dating DP. Was a long distance relationship and we decided to make a go of it. DP got a job and moved to my area a few months later. Been together 12 years and have a few other kids now too ☺️

My dh met his ex and married after 3 months.
It didn't last long.

Oh? Forgive my ignorance, but why is that?

We’re a lot more cautious I suppose and divorce isn’t as widespread as it is in the UK.
