I'm not forcing myself to do it
I like going out with the dog but normally just listen to music

I might try an audio book though good shout

I find Terrible, Thanks For Asking very cathartic but it may not be what you're looking for (people talking about difficult experiences, some of them very upsetting).

The Moth is also people talking about life experiences although not all of them are sad, there's a lot of positive inspirational stuff in there as well. Huge back catalogue.

The Stubborn Light of Things and As The Season Turns are both very gentle, nature based podcasts if that's your cup of tea.

Wiser Than Me is fairly inspirational (interviews with famous older women about what they've learned about life).

I've recently downloaded The Overwhelmed Brain, Owning It (The Anxiety Podcast) and Notes From The Mindful Inner Journey but haven't listened to many episodes yet.

Lots of people like Ten Percent Happier; I couldn't get into it but you might find it's worth a try.

What kind of podcasts do you enjoy at the moment?

I like the calm app, it has sleep stories on that which are restful

If you like sleep stories, you might enjoy Nothing Much Happens or The Empty Bowl. Lots of sleep stories on the Insight Timer app (and they have meditations for stress as well).

Not a podcast op, but I really like the app called Balance. It has loads of help for stress, sleep, pain.

If you're not too prudish, then try My Dad Wrote a Porno.

It is without a doubt the funniest thing I've ever listened to and really helped me take my mind off the stresses I had at the time.

It's basically Alice Levine and two of her Uni friends, James and Jamie, critiquing a book called Belinda Blinked written by Jamie's dad. A lot of the humour comes from them teasing Jamie. You can tell they're really good friends, so it's all in good fun.

The book itself is dreadful, which just adds to the hilarity.

Feel Better, Live More with Rangan Chatterjee. He has inspiring and knowledgeable guests advising on health, wellbeing, stress relief etc.

Just one thing - Michael mosley

A year to change your mind (bbc sounds not sure if on generic podcasts)

Feel better, live more

Xx

Sorry to hear this. I love a bath in a candlelit bathroom listening to
"As the Season Turns"

Really hope you feel better soon.
