Does anyone know how I can get access to my iPhone?

In short, my phone was stolen recently. I've got insurance so got a replacement the next day, and the replacement sim with my usual number also arrived the day after

Problem is, there's an error with the sim O2 sent me. So it has had to be 'manually activated but could take up to 5 working days, so up to Friday next week!

Nobody can contact me. My diary is on my Cloud and linked to my Apple account. Can't access it. They're suspicious of any device and want to send a code in a text. There's no option when setting up the iPhone to say I don't have that bloody number because the sim is still processing!

I can't access my emails because Google are suspicious of the new devices I try. It won't let me in without a text verification, which I can't do. And no option to press that I can't

Any ideas what I can do? My calendar on that phone has all my appointments 🙃 and reminders for all the kids appointments and various events

I don't know anything tbf, but When was your last back up and have you opened a case with apple support?

Thank you. There is an alternative via Apple support but it says before I click confirm that it'll be several days before it is confirmed. A bit like my new sim 😅

When you sign into your iPhone with your Apple ID, the phone should be able to do the Apple Authentication thing (the 6 digit prompt) which'll let you log into www.icloud.com from any computer. The SIM isn't needed for that.

Pretty sure I could get authentication stuff that way onto a phone with the wrong number a few years ago (vodafone sent a wrongly numbered sim). Apple should be catching and passing SMS messages to your number through to Messages over wifi.
