French equivalent to The Range - need sun loungers

We have just arrived at a holiday house in France and there is a distinct lack of garden furniture. We are a group of 7 and there is a small corner sofa. There is a pool and a large patio area.

We are here for 3 weeks so are thinking of purchasing some sun loungers. We don't want to spend £100s. Is there a range of large shops that are all over France where we could buy some? Maybe somewhere like The Range or even Argos?

I'm not sure what we would do with them when we leave yet, we can work that out later.

We are just too far from an IKEA.

There are a few on Market place that we may try and nab tomorrow.

We are near La Rochelle if that helps.

There were loads in the local hyper market when we were there last week

Amazon? Get them delivered?

DIY places like Leroy Merlin, Castorama, Mr Bricolage usually have them, there are several in the outskirts of La Rochelle.

Just go to a big Carrefour or similar. They’ve usually got a lot of that sort of stuff. (Though it might be a little late in the season). Bricorama have some things too.

Your large supermarkets will be your best bet, hyperU, E’leclerc, carrefore etc but the really big stores. Or Maisons du monde.

Thanks, I will look out for those names.

We only arrived today and all the supermarkets were closed. We are going out on the hunt tomorrow.

I can't get any delivered on Amazon until the end of the week.

I don’t have any better suggestions but three whole weeks in the sun sounds lovely! Enjoy.

Are there any second hand shops? Buy sell swap on Facebook? We pick up fabulous inflatables on hotel buy sell swaps when we're on holiday.

Have you asked the owner? What will you do with the loungers when you leave? The owner might not be happy to be left with them.

I am just outside La Rochelle right now and the nearby InterMarche Super has them. Also Decathlon (several in the region) have a range of outdoor chairs x

I have asked the owner. They won't supply any despite us being a group of 7 and there being space for about 4.

Depending on the type we buy we can probably take them home or at lease a couple of them. Will buy 4 I think .

Carrefour. The one near us in Brittany has had a pop up sore full of beach equipment in their car park

Result! We just found 2 great ones for 30 euro each in lidl. They only had 2 but that's better than nothing and not too big to get home.
