Quiet carriages on trains

What are your expectations in a 'quiet' carriage. Interested to hear having just been in quite a noisy 'quiet' carriage. Also I guess quiet is literally unenforceable

That conversations are kept to a minimum, at a low volume, and that I can't hear anyone's music/videos etc. I've told off a few people in the past for being incredibly loud on the quiet coach or for having their earphones so loud I can hear them from across the table. They can be loud elsewhere as far as I'm concerned!

No phones. Obviously no obnoxious music.

Normal conversations are fine
