There will have been copious amounts of polling going on before, during and after the debate, conducted by both sides and independents.

Each side will claim wins in specific areas and/or the overall debate so it’s probably best to look to independent polling data.

Also look at the betting markets, they’re usually a pretty accurate reflection.

I think I saw that Betfair have already reported a flip in the odds. Still incredibly close but now in Harris' favour.

Here’s the latest on Smarkets. I filtered the odds over the last 7 days and as you can see, The Donald did not do well last night!

I generally wouldn't read too much into it as its so close but in this case its interesting she's consistently been under him and suddenly last night that flipped.

I don't know. I think Mr twice impeached, four times indicted, convicted of 34 felonies, guilty of tax fraud and liable for sexual assault President has a nice ring to it. Trips right off the tongue.

The Right wing media (or those that comment on them) were insisting Trump was going to wipe the floor with her, and that Harris wouldn't be able to string a coherent sentence together. Neither came true. So I'd put that down as a loss to Trump.
Also a major Gripe about Harris has been her reluctance to speak out beyond carefully scripted rallies, and that we don't know what she really stands for. The debate allowed her to settle both those arguments - she brought something new to the table, while Trump just repeated the same old (lying) soundbites verbatim. Although the Dog eating is a new one.

Sadly referring to him as President Trump is standard practice. However Fox like to call him The President which I'm pretty sure is Biden.

I think Fox are struggling to spin this to Trump's advantage. Harris's weakest part was not surprisingly the Israel Gaza war but there is no great way to spin that

He doesn't quote his source but I'm guessing its "People with the surname Trump" and they made the mistake of asking Niece Mary

The debate had me veering between giggling at Harris' digs and looks of incredulity when he took the bait to shouting "Oh, shut up" at Trump's repetition of lies & conspiracies. If I'd had a Trump debate bingo card each of the squares would have been labeled 'Immigrants' and I'd have 'bingoed' in the first 5 minutes.

I think she did what she set out to do. She got her potential policies 'out there' and made him look foolish and unhinged. Did anyone else notice how Trump went from 'butthole mouth' to 'wide-mouthed frog'? Pursed lips when speaking, stretched lips when listening pouting.

Do I think it's going to change the minds of any of the Cultmembers? No. And if you're a one issue voter (anti-immigration, anti-abortion) it probably won't either. IMHO this election is going to be a squeaker.

He's so easily manipulated, you can see why despots everywhere were happy to deal with him. Harris didn't need to go hard on him, she just dropped in some ground bait and he was on it like a carp. It was like watching a scolded redfaced toddler having a tantrum for 90 minutes.

The "Poland will be next" if Trump gets in was a smart move. If just a few thousand of Pennsylvania's 800,000 Poles switch to Harris off the back of this, she's won the election.
