Hairdresser blowdry

I have a random rant today. I went to a new salon as mine was fully booked. Hair cut as I requested it to be cut (which is a first as they’re normally scissor happy!)

My issue is, why, when I’m paying for a cut and roller set blow dry, does it still look awful when I leave the salon!?

Ive honestly found this at all salons I’ve been to. Some high end some high street. They never get the blow dry how I like it, why though as surely it’s the easiest part of the whole treatment.

I always end up coming home and fixing it. Anyone else have this issue

I hate going to the hairdressers. I hate sitting facing a mirror and looking at myself and am always far happier once im home and washed it again the next day. I’ve never understood anyone enjoying the experience.

You’re going to a rubbish hairdresser. A good blowdry is a work of genius. However not many salons do it well. They should be pulling your hair hard and doing it all with the dryer. Places experienced in Indian Middle Eastern and Turkish hair are easily the best. A good blowdry will last until you next wash your hair even if it’s a week away

This. It's my one big dread every 6 weeks. I fucking hate it.

I get a dry trim, so much cheaper without the pointless blow dry

Yep, this. Very few hairdressers can do a good ‘proper’ blow out these days. They all seem to just style it with regular curling tongs which don’t look or last half as good

My normal hair salon is good but still don’t get it perfect. My hairdresser is actually Middle Eastern but she just doesn’t get the cut how I like it now days !

I love getting my hair cut (wet) but never get it blowdried, as I only ever air dry my hair.

That means that you’re leaving the salon without knowing the actual end look of the cut though?
