Context: cat is a murderous dickhead who has discovered our local vole population. After a successful reign of terror, she has this morning brought in a very tiny, very alive baby vole. Its eyes are still closed and its fur looks like a new development. Otherwise seems quite feisty!
I've no idea where the nest is so can't try to repatriate, and haven't had any success trying to find a local wildlife rescue. After some stumbling around on the internet it has been situated in a shoebox with a cobbled together heatpad made of rice and an old sock. We have some kitten milk and vole has been taking little sips from the end of a tiny paintbrush every couple of hours.
I know its unlikely to survive, but is there anyone on here who has had success or at least can give some pointers?
