Pain 6 weeks after nerve block in leg - any advice?

I had surgery on my toe around 6 weeks ago with a k wire inserted. They first tried to nerve block my leg by scanning the veins and injecting around them with an anaesthetic. This was so so painful and didn't even work, so ended up with a full spinal block instead.

They had inserted needles all over my leg, including my groin, back of knees and a couple of other places (I had lots of bruises to show for it!)

Unfortunately, my knee is still hurting and still getting occasional spasms in my knee, especially when kneeling or sitting cross legged (I have a toddler so we spend a lot of time sitting together on the floor which I've not been able to do much of) The knee itself feels "swollen" even though physically it looks fine. Randomly, my foot is also still very puffy 6 weeks post surgery across the top.

I spoke to the fracture clinic about this, they just say speak to my GP but really struggling to find an appointment with them at the moment as it's not an emergency and the next standard one is weeks away (which I've taken).

Sorry it's a bit of a long read but I'm feeling so down about it now and wondered if anyone had had the same issue and if it resolved eventually? Can't find much on Google. Many thanks!
