When something wasn’t what it was meant to be….

I’ve just read a story that made me laugh, so I’m looking for more…

Someone carried their camping chair to a festival, when on arrival realised it was a washing line.

Someone else recited the story of taking their swimming bag to school to find out they’d picked up their mum’s knitting bag.

Another recalled carrying a box with the windbreak in to the beach, only to find they’d taken a Christmas tree.

Please tell me more.

Then you are awful family members. Revolting allowing him to eat it.

Bit of a leap to assume they watched him do it!

In a nightclub many years ago I was drooling after the most gorgeous guy ever! He was always surrounded by girls who wanted his attention so I decided to play the king game of surreptitious looks and flirting from afar. Eventually one night I was sitting smoking (as you did then) and he sat beside me, I nearly peed my pants with excitement and he asked me for a light, I flicked my long hair, I looked at him with a sexy smoulder, rummaged in my bag and handed him A FUCKING TAMPON!!

I couldn't make it home for Christmas one year so decided to send my parents a hamper as their present. I spent ages finding their favourite food and drinks, including treats for the dog. Got a big wicker hamper too to put it all in. I organised a courier then realised I needed a box to send it in. Ex-boyfriend at the time worked at Currys so bought home an empty cardboard box that had once had a TV in it (this was the days before flat screens of course, so wide and deep). Packaged all up and sent it off. I went home for New Years eve, excited to see them and hear their thoughts about their lovingly-bought gifts. They couldn't hide their disappointment. Of course, on receiving the parcel from the courier they thought I'd bought them a new TV 😞

Oh God, had they not opened it? Did any food go off?
Did you not ring on Xmas day?

They must have opened it as they were disappointed it wasn't a TV..
