Bedroom wall colour

Do you have colour on your bedroom walls, or do you bring in colour with your bedlinen and accessories?

Ours is currently an off white which is OK but I often think it's time for an update! But then comes the dilemma of what colour to go for, and would it clash with the soft furnishings!

Help please MN 😀

Mine is blue and white. Feature wall of blue and white wallpaper, other walls dark dull blue with white above, one wall of white wardrobes. Carpet is sort of slate blue. Furniture is white. Bedding is dull blue and white. I love it - you can't see much of the dark blue on the bottom of the walls. It looks bright and fresh.

However - nowadays apparently it is a no no to have a feature wall, and same with walls split into two colours. Bollocks to that. I like it and it looks very pretty, without being at all frilly and pink. The only bit that is overtly 'feminine ' are some scalloped edge floral design net curtains from IKEA. Next door have children who can see into the bedroom from their garden, and in the summer I don't put down the blind at all, the breeze can waft through the nets and they keep out the majority of nasty flying bitey things.

Our bedroom is painted a lovely dark teal. I have toning curtains in a lighter teal, and furniture of different wood colours that all look beautiful with the teal. Bedding is either black & white striped or rich multi-colour jungle pattern.

I find the colour very restful.

I'm a bit basic I always have neutrals in the downstairs and and hallways. Bedrooms are all painted in colours with neutral furnishings!

Mine is dark magenta
DS1 dark navy with grey bed covers etc
DS2 is a very dark grey with light blue bedding curtains etc

I love that you all have dramatic colours upstairs.
I'm thinking of a very very pale green.
Still dithering!
