My daughter is turning 17 this October and wants to have a party. I really want to make it special for her but am not very creative so looking for ideas of how to make it special on a budget.
Backstory is that when she was 11 she was diagnosed with brain cancer and this summer will be 5 years since she finished treatment and (fingers crossed) her last scan. The tumour has left her with some lifelong medical conditions and a partial visual impairment but she lives a normal life and will be going to college this September.
The party is a celebration of finishing her scans and being seen as in remission as much as a birthday party and she won’t be able to drive due to her eyesight so want it to be really special for so many reasons!
She is a girly girl but is quite introverted and can be quite serious and grown up for her age because of what she’s been through so I just want to do something really fun for her!
Venue and food is pretty much sorted so looking for ideas for decorations, fun activities etc etc
