Hello,
Hoping to go to Edinburgh next week - haven’t been at festival time for 20 years🙈. Any tips for places to mill about and soak up the atmosphere with tween/young teens without commiting to tickets in advance? Can go either Monday or Wednesday - thinking midweek might be quieter? Will be getting train into Edinburgh. Any top tips!!!

The Pleasance is a fun place for an evening drink - it's the comedy hub. A walk down the Royal Mile where you will see lots of street performers. I've forgotten the names of lots of places but hopefully some people with come along.

The pop up beer gardens around the uni (George square etc) are always really buzzy - also there's a lot of shows on round there so you might be able to catch a last minute show.

Ditto the pleasance courtyard!
