Moved house a month ago still struggling to unpack

Hiya I moved house a month ago in probably the most stressful move of my life. Anyway it’s still complete shambles. Not one room is unpacked fully. It’s got to the point where I don’t even know where to start

which doesn’t help but situation - 37 weeks pregnant, awful PGP physio doesn’t help much and looking at crutches if the pain continues the way it is. 4 year old - no nursery as we’ve moved 4 hours from home. Have some family here but her staying with them all day doesn’t really work. Husband works full time. Saving the rest of his holiday for baby arrival.

constantly tied between using My little energy to keep the house relatively clean, laundry dishes etc keeping little one entertained

starting on baby sorting as time is running out

or trying to go through boxes.

oh and we have downsized - let go of furniture so boxes need to be declutteree before going away as less furniture

so yeah. What would you do?

You have PGP you need to rest to avoid permanent damage. The boxes can wait.

Are the boxes labels with contents / rooms?
If not look in boxes and label them.

Get husband to move boxes to relevant room.
Decide most important room to you, and start on unpacking that one first. (We went with sitting room as sitting in clutter can be depressing, or you might chose the easiest e.g. bathroom.

The whole process is a chore, I'll admit, but approached systematically it does get easier each time you complete a box.
Flatten each box when empty.

Good luck, you be really pleased yourself when you've finished.
