Just wondered, but how would you breed them for meat? Asking for a friend. If you keep them in a field they'll all just bugger off, and keeping them inside will stress them out so the meat is less flavoursome and tastes of prison and fear.
Do you trim their wings? Weigh them down? Bribe them?

Same for unicorns with their teleporting.

Pegasus is the name of the horse, not the actual animal, which I believe is just a winged horse.

Mysterian · 01/08/2024 22:14

And if you can shoot wolves in some countries but not people, what happens with werewolves? Can you wait until a human turns into one and shoot them for sport/food/practice or does that count as "murder"?

What @AdditionalCharacter said. Clash of The Titans (the old one) was my favourite film when I was about 6.

SplishSplashSploshes · 01/08/2024 22:15

Yeah, there's only one Pegasus.

TizerorFizz · 01/08/2024 22:15

@Mysterian Are you ok?

Ah. Does feel like a winged horse is special enough to have it's own specific name.

Similar problem with hippogriffs (gryphs?)

BareBelliedSneetch · 01/08/2024 22:17

I guess you’d keep them in a horse sized aviary? But I don’t know if they would breed in captivity. I feel like they probably wouldn’t.

HousedInMySoul · 01/08/2024 22:18

You could go vegan and let the horses live free 🐎

Horses are "equine" so it would probably be called an "equerry".

Well, it is a bit late. I've got that feeling of being too tired to go to bed now.

Yes it feels it should. Unicorns after all have a breed name!

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 01/08/2024 22:34

I think the most important thing is to agree whether they're winged horses or wing-ed.

Damia · 01/08/2024 22:45

For werewolves I think if they are intelligent in canine form it's murder, if dumb it's not. Though I suppose intelligent werewolves can be serial killers in which case it's just defending yourself.

Mysterian · 01/08/2024 22:48

I'm thinking of letting werewolves live now. If you can't kill one half without killing the other it would be like cutting off the lower half of a mermaid to eat.

Mysterian · 01/08/2024 22:50

And Pegasaurs™ are winged not wing-ed.

My Mum asked me once if Unicorns were real but went extinct ?
Well there's Narwhal which is a mammal with a long tusk so why not horses ?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/08/2024 22:55

I wondered what the plural of Toyota Prius was

It's Prius
I am underwhelmed
