Nervous traveler heading to Belgium with DD, advice needed!

I am off to Ghent in two weeks time with 16YO DD. She is staying with her girlfriends family and I am staying in Ghent so am close by but not cramping her style, it is our first time out of the country together. Just looking for tips and ideas of what to do to keep myself occupied in Ghent for four days! I am not the most confident traveller and am starting to get a bit nervous about it all.

Also DD has a British passport with a different surname to mine and my passport is not British, do you think this may cause an issue getting through Eurostar at St Pancras?

Thanks so much!

You’ll have a great time. Ghent is lovely and Belgium is a very easy country to travel in. What sort of things do you enjoy?

I love history, art, reading and Jazz! Not so in to chocolate but do love a boat tour. My mobility isn't fantastic though so a bit worried about that too.
