Reaching out to the wise minds of MN as you're often brilliant for recommendations.

We are heading down to London tomorrow with a 7 & 8 year old DD's and need recommendations as to how to spend the afternoon. We are booked in to the Paradox Museum in Knightsbridge at 11, we then have got a restaurant booked at 5 in Piccadilly Circus, so we are looking for suggestions ideally between the two and maybe involving cake/ice cream, although we can eat on the go.

What things have your 7/8 yo's loved?

Can't go wrong with a stroll along the South Bank. If you're lucky, the tide will be out and the kids will be able to go on the little beach there. It's going to be a scorcher tomorrow .... you'll have a lovely time. If you don't want to be in the sun, have a look at the Clink Museum ... your children might like that. Have the best time 🩷

If they like Taylor Swift there's a mini trail at the V&A of 13 TS outfits.

You’ll be in walking distance of Hyde Park and the Diana memorial fountain, great on a hot day! From there I would walk around the Serpetine and stop off at the playground. You can then carry on walking to Buckingham Palace with an ice cream or jump on a bus if it’s too much for the kids. Then walk through St James’ Park for some Pelican spotting to Piccadilly. Perfect sunny afternoon!
