Hobby time

A question about hobby time..

Partner and I have 3 children. I work 2 days a week and OH works 6 days a week (most weeks).
It's summer holidays and I am with children (1,4&9) every day (I am a teacher so get the holidays).
My partner books a week off to spend with us. He will work 1 weekend day in this time. He will also spend 2 days away doing his hobby. Leaving us with 4 days family time during his annual leave.

Am I right to be annoyed this always happens?
I just feel like we get such little family time and I am always on my own with three kids.

I know the suggestion will be for me to take some time off, however if I did, we would have even less family time together.

This happens every time he takes annual leave, he goes away for two days.

What are your thoughts on this? Am I allowed to be annoyed or is it ok to have regular hobby time away from family when time is so precious?

TIA

6 days a week working is a lot though so presumably he has to fit his hobbies into holiday time?

Annual leave is family time. Hobbies have to be fitted around it or in addition to time off to spend with family.

Depending on his holiday allowance but I expected DH to have two weeks together, one week with DD while I was working and the rest when needed for school or hobby date.

Yes, generally this time is booked in as annual leave. It's 24-48 hour away each time.

He doesn't always work 6 days a week but does 3 weekends out of the month usually.

I mean he's working 6 days a week so doesn't sound like he has much hobby time - I wouldn't begrudge a day or two on a hobby during a week annual leave, leaving four days for family time. That's a months worth if he's working 6 days a week normally!

Yeah he works a lot. Not by choice by for necessity really.

We really don't have a lot of spare time for anything.

This hobby however happens monthly I should add whether there is a week long period of holiday booked or not.

So he does go regularly for 12 or so hours at a time. However a 24-48 hour period happens every week holiday that is booked

Could you increase your days so he could drop a day & the weekends are mainly family time?

Childcare is the issue really. We have reversed the roles before with me working full time.
At the moment, we don't have many options for childcare. So increasing my hours at the moment isn't possible.
Hopefully in a years time this could be a possibility.
