Ummm... Help needed!

Did a really stupid thing and decided to take advantage of the lovely weather to wash some should technically be dry cleaned cushion covers, turned them inside out (being clever so I thought) and now I can't get the zip to move... 😑

Advice please oh wise MNs?

WD40 on a cotton bud and dab it just on the zip? Don't get it on the fabric.

The problem is because of my ingenuity of turning them inside out to wash, the pully bit of the zip is now on the inside and there’s no give in the zip at all, to even get in there and yank the damn thing down. I’ve tried to attach a pic but the internet is playing up too, it’s all going well here chez NL!

Can you rub a pencil along the teeth of the zip? That’s supposed to work.

So you turned them inside out, pulled the zip up and then stuffed the pulley bit through the teeny tiny hole which has now shrunk a bit?

DH even said how did you pull the zip entirely up?
But I guess before the wash, there was some give in the fabric!
Now I can't get my finger in at all!
And there is absolutely NO give now...😣

Can you get an unfolded paperclip (or similar) in the hole?

You need to be able to "lift" the little bit on the top of the zip where the pully thing sits. That usually helps to undo it. Good luck!

it's hard to explain but can you try and locate the pulley bit through the fabric? A bit like putting your hand in the corner of a duvet cover and then grabbing the corner of the duvet. It worked for me.

I'm glad to hear that @Fgfgfg because , according to DH "only you would do something so daft!".
I did what you suggested and kinda worked the zip that was inside the cover from the outside.
It was a stubborn bustard but eventually got there.

The DCs actually cheered and the 6yr old said "And don't do it again Mummy!"
to which the 10yr old replied in a resigned, knowing way "Oh she will!"
