My friend has just had a baby. It’s ages since I had DS, so I’m a bit out of touch.

What can I send her?

I don’t know if she’s breast feeding and don’t want to ask.

If she tends to wear beads and chains, baby safe jewellery is a nice idea - I was so envious when I saw a mum with a chain of felt beads. A lovely mobile is another present that works for both parent and child - I got so much pleasure from ours when sitting in the baby’s room in the night.

Not sure why it matters if she’s breast feeding? I’d send some sweet treats like brownies, biscuits or chocolate; or a voucher for meals like COOK, or voucher for Deliveroo.

Agree with this, postal brownies from Gower Cottage were one of my favourite gifts
