I'm off to B&M tomorrow. What should I be on the look out for?

I'll be solo and I'll have all afternoon, so I can amble and browse to my heart's desire. Absolute bliss.

Aside from some bedding plants to replace the dead stuff in my hanging basket, I have no particular shopping list. Are there any particular bargains or brilliant things I should be on the look out for?

God, I bloody love B&M.

Don’t worry, just grab a trolley and the B&M fairies will guide you…😂

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 31/07/2024 13:55

They have a bird feeder shaped like a little bench.

And bee hotels.

Drawer organisers. Organise your drawers.

leeverarch · 31/07/2024 13:56

Danish salami. It's the only place I've been able to find that for years.

viques · 31/07/2024 13:57

I bought a fabulous sunshade from there, mind you, it was a couple of years ago, but it has lasted well and I still love it.

OldTinHat · 31/07/2024 14:04

B&M is (honestly!) my corner shop. It's the first shop I come to when I leave home.

If you use Tiger Balm, they have a dupe which is excellent for £1. Antihistamines and diarrhoea tablets are cheap, cheap. Solar lights for the garden are reduced.

Storage boxes and stuff are great. They have loads of different sorts.

Oh, and if you download the B&M app, there's a scanner on it where you can find things that have no price on, end up as end of line, and you can get them for about 10p.

TonyTigerKindaSexy · 31/07/2024 14:06

All amazing ideas. Storage boxes and drawer organisers are basically orgasm-inducing for me.

@leeverarch Forgive my ignorance but is Danish salami particularly lovely?

@OldTinHat Excuse me, what now? There's a B&M app. Oh what joy. Also, very envious of B&M being your local shop. Very jealous.

I’m much more a fan of the range, as there’s so much bird shit all over everything in my local b&m but the storage stuff is amazing, lots of decent garden stuff, cheap pots and what not for planting

VivaLaSpag · 31/07/2024 14:13

The big bags of single wrapped individual Kinder Bueno pieces!

Reallybadidea · 31/07/2024 14:14

They have lovely, very good value indoor plant terrariums.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 31/07/2024 14:20

My B&M must be really shit as all I can ever find is tonnes of rubbish tat and the whole place looks like a jumble sale. I prefer The Range.

TonyTigerKindaSexy · 31/07/2024 14:27

I think B&Ms can be a bit hit and miss. There are two in my city - the one I go to is really tidy and clean with a lovely garden centre, but the other one is a bit grimy. The one near my mum has strong jumble sale vibes.

I love a bit of B and M.....they do lovely garden lights and ornaments. I get my reading glasses from there too, and the command strips for putting pictures up.

However, Ive just been to Canada and they have a store there called Giant Tiger. Like B and M but bigger and better, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

Wahine24 · 31/07/2024 15:51

The 68p flower shaped sponge that's very similar to scrub daddy

Tdp123 · 31/07/2024 16:13

Old school chocolate bars - Fry's chocolate cream, Turkish delight, Walnut whip, etc.
And black pudding for about a pound.

TonyTigerKindaSexy · 31/07/2024 20:22

Yes to old school snacks! Got some T-Bone steak crisps on my list 😋

But black pudding is a hard no I'm afraid 😫 🤢

Maybe you live near me, frankly you'd have to lead a very boring life to be excited about going to either of the ones local to me.

Or actually a couple where my parents live, is it area specific?

TheFormidableMrsC · 31/07/2024 20:49

Food bag clips, multipack of Curley Wurleys, candles or melts, trinket bowls you don't need, skincare, rugs, bee houses, Ikea furniture dupes, cleaning products, bathroom accessories, the specials aisle (all hail the specials aisle!), storage boxes, double sided tape, notebooks, lampshades, gold sliders, multi pack of picture frames, cat toys. I need to stop with this 🤣

TheFormidableMrsC · 31/07/2024 20:49

Last year I got a sandwich toaster for a quid because I downloaded the app with the scanner feature!

embolass · 31/07/2024 21:02

Asevi the Spanish cleaning products were in mine last time I was there. Viral on Tik tok shop 😂

Royalshyness · 31/07/2024 21:06

The fajita mix and southern fried gravy are my go to items

their scrubs for cleaning (big pads with microfibre on one side and scrub on the other) I’ll try and get a photo as I love them

the designer Fragrance stuff (clothes refreshed etc)

look out for autumn accessories

Berga · 31/07/2024 21:33

I went today, if you use washing pods check the Persil 3 in 1 bio pod boxes. There was a shelf of boxes of 32, but I spotted two XL boxes of 40 among them - used my B&M app and they were £3.99 a box, bargain!

PurplePotatoes · 31/07/2024 21:38

I need to know more about the app!
what do you do, just go round scanning random stuff on the off chance it’s reduced?!

Essentially yes, although it's usually stuff that is on a shelf that you can't find the corresponding price label for, there is only a couple of or something that looks a bit out of place, that's usually an indication that it's waiting to be moved/reduced.

I like Danish salami, yes. I've not been able to find it anywhere since Brexit, and then lo and behold, in my local B&M on Saturday, I happened to glance in their chiller and there it was.
