The best and worst of summer

At last we have some semblance of summer!
What are the best and worst bits for you?

I'm loving the easiness of everything, especially with little DCs who are happy to just be outside, and the throw anything from the fridge together and calling it a meal 😂

The worst parts are the flies and wasps (though not seen many of those yet)
Also the humidity but there's a lovely breeze today so pretty much perfect 👌

I'm off sick and yesterday walked around the garden and pretended I was in Tuscany. It was blissful. So best bit is the heat and the smell of the plants and the lazy vibe of life.

Worst bit is faffing around opening and closing windows to keep the house cool. (but it's a real stretch to call that 'worst'!)

I was in north Yorkshire yesterday, and the weather was gorgeous, but back down south, where I live, and the heat is a bit oppressive today. I do love being able to hang washing in the garden though, and it being dry in no time. I love the flowers too, and seeing everyone in summery clothes and lovely dresses. I love the lazy school holidays with the kids, and the camping trips and trips to see my family in Wales by the sea. I can't stand the humidity we get so often. I love thunderstorms though, and we wouldn't get one without the other I guess, so....

Best is the amount of washing I've been able to get done the last couple of weeks. I've even dug the winter coats out of the cupboard and washed them while it's nice enough to dry them outside so they'll be nice and fresh when autumn comes. Worst is having to faff about with suncream when leaving the house, it's a pain in the arse.

I’ve washed and dried all my laundry in 3 days; towels, bedsheets, dark and light clothes for the whole family.

Warm evenings are wonderful.

Getting the kids dressed is 100% easier/quicker.

Garden looks fabulous.

Kids easily entertained with more trampoline time.

Work is quiet as lots of people are off.

Best - getting so much washing dried, being able to take DC to the park with our lunch and call it a (free) day out! Getting to wear the summer clothes I bought weeks ago.

Worst - SUNCREAM

Best is simple summer meals and a proper chance to wear all my sandals

Worst is ants (esp flying ones) and it being too hot for hikes and long walks

Also loving the amount of laundry I can get through, I've been blitzing through
bedlinen too.
Oh I get the suncream faff BUT as my mum just said "people are just smilier when the sun is shining!" 😁
