There aren't enough hours in the day!

We moved into our lovely new house a couple of weeks ago. Paint is a little bit tired but we're so happy as it's much more modern and much larger than our old house. Happy days!

DH mainly works from home and we have a 3yo and 1yo. Every spare minute has been spent building furniture and unpacking boxes, as well as all the usual stuff like cooking, dishwasher and generally being a parent to very small children. I don't know if it's just being in a new environment but I'm feeling so overwhelmed! We still have so many boxes to unpack and I feel like there just isn't time outside of all of the stuff listed above, as well as actually keeping on top of cleaning. I don't know what I'm missing but I just don't have the time! Both kids are at home for summer and DH is working his socks off doing DIY, parenting and having a full time job.

Not sure the hot weather is helping but I really don't know how to organise my life and home any better at the moment. My 1yo also happens to be one of the Velcro type toddlers where he wants to be held, carried and climb on me at all times.

You moved just a couple of weeks ago. It's totally normal to be in overwhelm stage. Boxes everywhere, nothing organised, you haven't settled in yet. This will all take time. Gradually things will work themselves out and you will have more ease, rest and peace before you know it. Best to allow things to take the time that they take.

Totally to be expected.
make a list and prioritise 3 things each day. Eg bedrooms - clean/bed/curtains
Get a sling/wrap for baby.
Set toddler up in corner of room with an activity that you’re working in
Get kids to bed reasonable hour and you and DH smash another job off your list then enjoy an hour unwinding in your new home, make a plan for the next day.
Remember-Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Moving house and unpacking is extraordinarily stressful.

I couldn't have done it with DC around all day. Can you get them in a private nursery or with a friend or childminder or whatever for a while so you can get sorted?
