Help me with the spiders

Semi- lighthearted but also pleading for tips! I am massively phobic of spiders and am currently on holiday in the UK with DH and kids staying at my parents house. There are just so many spiders, mostly the ones with super skinny legs but saw a black house spider in our bedroom too at 4am after being up with DD and I can't cope! Have only slept 3 hours the last 2 nights and am exhausted already. Have 8 more nights to go 😢 Can anyone suggest some foolproof ways to keep the spiders out of my room please?

The super skinny ones actually kill and eat the big black ones.
I hate spiders but do ( mostly) leave the skinny ones. There is currently a skinny one clutching a dead big black on on my dining room ceiling. It freaks me out but I’m happy for them to get the big black ones.
Other than go around the skirting boards & under the bed, behind furniture etc with the hoover, I’m not sure what you can do except get DH/DF to get them out.

They aren't aware that we exist and they are very beneficial little creatures.

Try to think of them as harmless little fellow earthlings just trying to have their one and only life, just like us. Don't kill them.

Reportedly, peppermint, citrus and other strong perfumes and oils will repel them; do you have anything you can spray on the bedding?

I had a largish brown one make a web out n my understairs closet; was planning to move it to the garage but next thing you know a skinny one had taken over the web and eaten the other one. I feel bad for procrastinating.

Best thing is to just leave them alone. They won't harm us.

I also have a huge phobia and can't even look at a photo of a spider.

I've learnt to ignore the spindly leg (cellar) spiders because they really do eat the big ones. I try and 'keep' one in each room downstairs.

Indorex flea spray after a really good vacuum.

I absolutely don't like killing them and understand that they won't harm me, just genuinely terrified of them. I'll do a hoover round today and try and order some citrus stuff or the Indorex. There's so much stuff in the parents house that spiders have a field day. Good to hear the spindly ones will catch the big ones. I hope they are swift movers, like by bedtime tonight 😬 can't cope with lying awake all night under the covers again!
