What sort of physio do I need please?

I would like a physio to look at my pelvic posture and my quad/hamstring balance. Possibly core strength too as this affects this too?

I do plenty of weights - upper body is fine and very obviously muscular. Legs not so much.

I have a scoliosis that I've known about since late teens. I have had back pain but not for over 20 years (it was hoiking car seats and children in and out of cars) and sorted by a chiropractor.

Basically I want to ensure my back health as I get older and I don't want any form of adverse pelvic tilt.

I don't think anyone would be that interested in my scoliosis. It was noted when I had an injury 3 years ago and orthopaedic doctors didn't say anything other than simply asking if I knew about it.

Any particular type of physiotherapist I need to look for?

Hi OP, I see a pelvic physio who was originally a general physiotherapist and then specialised. You could look for someone like that.

She addressed all my posture and gait etc in conjunction with pelvic physio.

Has anyone any other thoughts please? Can't see a pelvic physio nearby

We use a McTimoney Chiropractor who is amazing when it comes to squaring up the pelvis, back and any other joint which is out of place. There isn't any cracking or crushing involved, just gentle manipulation. I've used her for the past 28 years since having my eldest child and haven't had any problems with back or hips or anything really. I see her once or maybe twice a year unless I've fallen down some steps or feel 'wonky'. She charges £55.
