Cheapest to place to buy crockery

DS managed to drop a pile of our plates yesterday and I need to replace them but I’m going to wait to buy good quality as ££ is tight at the moment. Is Ikea the best place to buy cheap and cheerful or is there a better option?

Try charity shops.
I got a full set of vintage crockery last month for £25.

Charity shop. You can often get sets or just be arty and go mixed! No worries about breaking them then and better for the environment.

That is a fab idea and I actually love mis matched crockery. Thank you!

Another vote for charity shops. Just stick to plain white and they'll all match.

Asda under a pound, plates side plates two types of bowls. If no luck on charity shops I do love a harlequin set but Asda might be cheaper!

Just be aware that older or vintage crockery might not be microwave or dishwasher safe if you use those.
I got a cheap plain white set cheap from Argos that has been fine.

Mine is almost all from charity shops and, apart from a set of pink dinner bowls from Ikea, comes in ones or (occasionally) twos Grin But I like that.
The only thing is that if you stick to charity shops it can take a while to amass enough stuff, as obviously you need to have the time to go, and there will be periods where there's nothing you want.

You could also try looking for sale stuff at the big department stores. Or online places like BrandAlley often have brands like Soho House, Denby and Portmeirion at good discounts.
