We are on holiday on a Spanish island. Reasonably busy pool with all shapes and sizes around it. I generally dislike getting my body out (I’m not overweight but 3 kids have left me looking a lot better with my clothes on!) but it feels like a safe environment to do it in. Early teen DSD has planned her outfits and bikinis for each day and puts makeup on throughout the day. She’s having a great time and playing with her young siblings in the pool but she is SO image conscious and makes comments about how fat she is and her boobs are not big enough etc. Objectively she is easily one of the most beautiful people around the pool (especially as there are mostly young kids and their parents here).I’m just struggling with how to respond to her insecurities!
