I don’t know if this exists…

We had a trip booked for February half term and have to move it due to DH having to join a work trip the same week.

DC were gutted and although we are going to rebook this trip for maybe next October, I would really like to take them somewhere the first weekend / couple of days of Feb half term before DH goes away on the Friday.

I kind of want to use the deposit I’ve already paid and hopefully not much more. I have £2000 already with the company.

DC have specified ‘not Europe’ 😅

This isn’t going to happen is it? We’re 2 adults and 2 kids.

Happy to fly a long way for a short time, and they’re good travellers. Happy to walk / eat / behave!

Not Europe for a few days seems slightly mad. Why don’t they want to go to Europe? So many gorgeous places that you don’t have to spend 8 hours flying to, 2 days of fun and then 8 hours flying back.

Which company is it? Obviously you're limited to their offerings!
So you need to be back on the Thursday? How early can you leave?
And what are you looking for in the trip? How old are DC?

Go to Istanbul and tell them it's Asia.

What about Morrocco? Short haul flight but different vibe from Europe, should be pleasant weather then too.
Or what about Scandinavia, although is still Europe and would be cold. Depends what type of holiday your after.

Morocco is cheap in Feb.

TBH I would’ve taken the kids with out DH!!

Where is her going? Could you tag a few days beforehand to the same place?

Because we’ve done a lot of Europe and I guess it just feels more exciting to them. If we can’t do it we will do Europe for a city break and I have no doubt they will love it. I just wanted to try and meet the wish list first.

I would love to go to Marrakesh but DH seems so against it, I have a 10 year old and a 14 year old and they are both girls and apparently he’s heard horror stories. Maybe I can convince him.

I really wanted to go to Bergen but the money is with BA and they don’t seem to fly there.

We joined DH on the last two business trips to the same place so I kind of feel like we’ve done it.

How about Goa?
Or Cape Town (no jet lag)?
