we're on holiday in Greece. 2nd week in.
Very large, lovely hotel, but very busy around the pools and we've got up about 10am each day and grabbed whichever sunlounger we can get. No problems.
It's our last few days, so we got up at 6.15 this morning to get some of the luxury loungers by the adult pool. They're the most popular and if you don't get a bed by 8am you're not getting one. So we watched the sunrise; which was amazing. We got two
empty beds (lots of others available too) and chilled. After breakfast, about 10am, a man arrived with his sheepish wife, claiming that we'd removed his towels from the lounger. He was really abusive.
We explained that when we arrived at 6.15 there were plenty of beds and no towels on our beds.
He said we'd removed his towels.
He said he'd got up at 4.30 to put his towels down. Maybe the cleaners/security/pool guy removed them. I dunno.
Anyway, he's been back twice since, despite the intervention of a lovely greek lifeguard who explained that even if we'd removed the towels (we hadn't) there are "no reservations"
He's walked past us several
times giving stink eye and has been back twice to remind me that we stole his towels 🤣🤣
Tell me what to do mumsnet, if the knuckle dragging twat appears again to have a go.
(villa next year 🤣)
