Cadbury's fruit and nut/whole nut revelation!

...well, it is a revelation to me!

I'm a whole nut fan (I know the chocolate is nothing like it used to be) and thought I didn't like fruit and nut as don't really do raisins. However, it has always puzzled me that even if I try to avoid the raisins it still doesn't hit the spot and never quite been able to put my finger on it.

I can now reveal I have just made a FASCINATING discovery about fruit and nut that has made me realise why I doubley don't like fruit and nut!! Anyone else been on this journey/want to guess why?? And how has it taken the best part of 50 years for me to realise this!

I really miss whole nut since having to be gluten free. The aldi one is ok but not the same.

"Hunky chunky almonds... they're the secret of my beauuuuty... everyone's a fruit and nut case"... the jingle is now stuck in my head!

Omifukkingod! Of course!!! How this has not registered in my brain before now I just don't know.

I do like that lidl do a dark choc whole nut and I might have recently eaten a whole big bar of my own and was slumming it on dps f&n 🤫 when the revelation came to me.

@Oldncranky 100%!! I checked the wrapper and waved it about to DH and (adult) DS in an outraged tone with a bit of swearing 😂I was going to send Cadburys a 'strongly worded email' but DS made me a strong G&T and I let it go. Was about 3 weeks ago and I had forgotten until now! @minerva7 I love Lidl and Aldi chocolate- far superior to Cadburys. I only bought it for an 'emergency stash'- I get migraines with low sugar so generally have a small bar in my bag for just in case and decided to eat it on a whim. Was away from home when I bought it- was a pound £ for a tiny bar!

Yeah, I'd have had a proper mn fumming moment I think! The price of small bars is eye watering. I always gawk at them all in the queue at the petrol station and wonder who buys them at those prices!

I love fruit and nut. It's one of my all time favourite chocolate bars.
