Recommend me somewhere to eat in basingstoke

i know Mumsnet will nail this. I’m meeting friends to play golf at knights realm tomorrow.

We need somewhere to eat with kids 9-15. They like good food, but I don’t want to go too far as time is short or pay too much.

ideally there would be wifi for the teenage boys to watch the F1 on I-pads. A big screen would be even better .

What are the options ? Thanks

That’s by the Leisure Park isn’t it? If you take a short drive into the town centre (follow signs for Festival Place parking, it is a bit confusing). If you then head into the shopping centre and make your way towards the Vue cinema there is a concourse with Wagamama, Pizza Express, Nandos, Five Guys etc.

Or Wetherspoons. Not sure if anywhere will have a big screen. There are a load of pubs and restaurants in London Street, which is outside the opposite end of Festival Place but I have never eaten in any of them.

Options are limited to the usual chains. There’s a Beefeater in the Leisure Park for example. My favourite place in Basingstoke is Oliver’s, best fish and chips in the south, not too far from the leisure park. www.olivers4fish.co.uk/home

The Leisure Park has the Spruce Goose, which ia a Beefeater... or go to Festival Place, as suggested.

(Don't often eat out in Basingstoke, despite having lived here for about a million years. Getting on for 2 decades, anyway.)

We don't eat there much either, we mainly visit for shopping and cinema.
