Ottoman beds

Do you have one, are they any good, and what do you store in yours?

I'm thinking will be useful for extra bedding, out of season clothes and possibly big winter coats.

We have wall to wall, floor to ceiling wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms but my mantra is you can never have enough storage!

I have had one for two years now, it hides my yarn stash (substantial!), the inflatable spare bed and bedding and various other bits and pieces.
lifts up from the end of the bed. I wish I had bought one years ago!

I got a king size ottoman bed when I moved house. I keep my ‘other season’ duvets in it, plus bedding, towels, and anything else I can’t think of a place for! Mine is side lift as it works better for my bedroom layout.

I think it looks tidier than boxes under a bed frame, and plain divan bases feel like a waste of storage space! Even the ones with drawers don’t fit as much as an ottoman.

They are great.
We have very little cupboard space so use it for bedding and summer/winter clothes in vacuum bags or storage cubes.

We have an end lift and our son has a side lift.
If I was buying again I would always get an end lift as you loose storage and height on the side lift due to the space needed for the 'down' side of the bed.
Love ours as we don't have an airing cupboard so all spare bedding and towels go underneath (the boys is full of Lego!)
